Corning Glass Museum ..

On 28th May, Manoj and I had planned to visit Corning Glass museum.

We started in the morning at around 8:30 AM and drove towards Corning via 17W.

It was fist time Manoj was driving long. He wanted me to accompany him so that he is confident. haha :)

Anyway I was with the map and helping him driving..










By 10AM we had reached the glass city, Corning. It was a brigh sunny day. There was a shuttle bus which leaves the visitor parking to Museum. We get on to the bus and reached the place..

This State of Art glass art is from India.. Amazing art work.. Currently this is my wall paper. Corning has spent lot of money to buy this from Royal Family from India.

The only similar glass article is in India











Glass Manufacturing Demo.. This glass artist is blowing since 25 years.. this is the first stage .. The glass will be at 1200 deg centigrade. he keeps rotating until certain time and strats blowing ..













This is the second stage where he is making the shape and opening the top portion..











This is the final shape.. Amazingly the shape turned into this one when he rotates the blowing pipe in a weired manner..

Cool art .. I was amazed..

We started from point "You are here" and walked along George trail (Purple Lane) walked til Lovers Lane (Small brown lane) and and reached Suspension Bridge (White Line) in the map.. reached Lilly pond. And walked back to reach Indian Trail (Pink Lane) and walked downwards to rach back George trail at "Point Look out " in the map and reached main entrance.. Amazing experiance.

ಸ್ಮರಣೆ ಮಾತ್ರದಿ ಬಾಳ ಶಿಖರಕೆ ದಾರಿದೀಪವದಾಗುವ
ನೆನಪಿನಾಗರದಿಣುಕು ನೋಟವ ಮೆಲುಕು ಹಾಕುತ ನಲಿಯುವ ||

ಶೈಶವದ ಮುಗ್ಧತೆಯ ಮಡಿಲಲಿ ಉಣಲು ಮಾಡಿದೆ ರಗಳೆಯ
ಸಹನೆಯಿಂದಲಿ ಚಂದಮಾಮನ ತೋರುತಲಿ ನನಗುಣಿಸುತ
ಅಮ್ಮನಾ ಅಕ್ಕರೆಯ ಹಾಡುಗಳಿಂದು ಕಿವಿ ಗುಯ್ ಗುಟ್ಟುತಾ

Sangama - Meke Dhatu

On 29th Apr 2006 .. MS, Srinand (aka. Chaddi) and his fiancee, timmi and myself planned to goto Sangama, near Kanakapura. Other than Ghati trip I has not been taken my car anywhere long.. So I took my car and we all started by around 8 in the morning..

Sangama is around 100 KM from Bangalore.. and amazing place to be visited. 2 Rivers meet there.. Not sure about the rivers though.. Actually we wanted to goto Chunchi falls which is near to Sangama, infact 10 KM before Sangama itself we get a deviation to reach Chunchi.. At last moment people decided that we will go to Sangama - Mekedhatu instead of Chunchi, as most of us had seen Chunchi.

It was bright sunny day and we reached Sangama by 11AM.. We had not packed any food, but had taken some cool drinks and stuffs to eat.. :-)

We played a lot in water and experience in the dakota bus from Sangama to Mekedhatu is unforgettable.. Here are some snaps..

Bush Betta

It was Siemens trip .. I joined with them to accompany Sowmya.. Bush Betta is amazing place inside the jungle of Bandipur .. The resort is now maintained by Country Club. We reached by evening and all got nice rooms.. Had extra-ordinary fun .. with Camp Fire trekking etc..

It was around long time back .. We strated on 10th Feb and back on 12th Feb .. 2006

Exams Exams Exams ....
All Kids are busy and tensed coz of exams. Even S S L C(Secondary School Leaving Certificate) exams are staring from today. While coming to office I saw many parents taking their children to schools. I remember my mom had come to school during my SSLC exam.

I wish all of them very best and let them all do very well in the exams..

Trip to Ghati and Nandi

My FIL had arranged a trip to Ghati and he had arranged a Pallakki Utsav for the diety on 26th Jan 2006. We all had gone there and incidetly that was my first long trip in my car. Road was not all that great so really dint enjoy the dirve. Here are some snaps..

It was really good trip while coming back we went to Nandi and came back. Its around 20 KM from Ghati.
It was amazing experience for me to drive the Nandi Ghats :-)

Dangerous Plastics

This is what I saw this morning when I heading home from jogging. I felt very bad .. I dont know where is out city going to. Reespecitve officers are careless and civilians are more careless. You can see many cows are grazing plastics there. Its very hazardous for them.. Get up Bangalore do something..
