अपि स्वर्ण्मयी लंका न मॆ लक्ष्मण रॊचतॆ ।
जननी जन्मभूमिश्च स्वर्गादपि गरीयसि ॥
यदा राम-लक्ष्मणौ लंका नगरीम् प्रविष्यवन्तौ, लक्ष्मणॆन उच्यतॆ यत् वयम् अत्रैव वसामः , ऎतत् नगरी अतीव सुंदरी इति । तत्क्ष्णम् राममुखॆन श्लॊकमिदं उदितम् ॥
In seach of Seeta, Rama with his brother Lakshmana enters Lanka, the beatiful city. Lakshmana seeying that beauty asks his beloved brother whether they can stay there it self.. Rama being maryaadda purushottama, replies him with this famous verse.
Meaning: Hey Lakshmana, evethough Lanka is very cool place to stay, I dont like it as Mother and Mother Lands are more than Heaven ..
Folks.. so do I feel.. 6 months back arrived in the US for project work. Learnt a lot, got many new friends, experienced all the excitement.. but can not stay more.. Mother and Motherland is calling me back .. Flying back to Bangalore starting on 4th .. Very very excited to go back..
